25 Best STEM Colleges of 2017

Michigan Tech STEM college

Forbes has released their “Top 25 STEM colleges” for 2017 and my alma mater, Michigan Tech, made the list! It’s a small university located in Michigan’s most northern region, the Keweenaw Peninsula, and was originally founded in 1885 as a school to train mining engineers. Engineering still accounts for 59% of enrollment (2010) but it currently offers over 130 degree programs. I’m thrilled that my university made it on this prestigious list, but definitely not surprised!
